Can tech and Trump unite on a growth agenda?

The technology industry and the Trump administration appear to have gotten off to a rocky start. After a cordial meeting at Trump Tower in December, the administration’s executive order on immigration stunned Silicon Valley, jolting the industry to action. The Trump administration, however, softened some of the order’s most problematic elements, such as blocking green card holders, and in so doing may have shown an ability to digest feedback and correct mistakes. Such give and take will need to be repeated as these two centers of American power, a continent both geographically and culturally apart, work toward the common good.
